I am a registered dietitian, nutrition therapist, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist-Consultant (CEDS-C), size inclusive provider, and registered yoga teacher with 15 years of experience working with eating disorders and body image concerns. Originally from the Pacific NW, I relocated and made new roots in Southern New England in 2009. I discovered my curiosity for working with others, passion for nutrition science, and how the human body works at a young age. I’ve enthusiastically dedicated my career to helping others find peace and enjoyment in their relationship with food, and deeply passionate about the treatment of eating disorders, helping clients navigate to full recovery, and deconstructing diet culture. All of this through the lens of compassion, trauma informed best practice, and inclusivity. While I work with a variety of clients with nourishment concerns, I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+ and gender expansive clients. I understand that becoming more attuned to internal wisdom about wants and needs is not easy, and yet hold space for patience, practice, reflection, and encourage a ton of aligned providers around you no matter the outcome. In every session, I work to bring joyful energy, thoughtfulness, and warmth into the nutrition counseling process. I practice a respect and dignity for whole person model, to develop a supportive, sustainable nourishment path with each person.
In addition to individual counseling, I offer professional supervision & consultation to RDs. Please send an email to hello@fthnutrition.com to inquire. I look forward to working with you!

Growing up a picky eater who survived on every chicken nugget and tender I could find, I never thought my path would lead me to a career in nutrition. I find that many of my clients worry that “all dietitians eat perfectly” and may feel hesitant to share their struggles believing they will be judged or that they should “know better”.
Well, I’m here to say that’s just not the case. First, spoiler alert, there is no perfect eating! We all have a journey to take when it comes to finding a maintainable and enjoyable way to take care of ourselves. Using a blend of compassion, humor, individualized care, and evidence-based recommendations, I am grateful to support my clients as they take their journey to true wellness.

There are so many things to love, but one of the best is witnessing my clients' self-confidence and zest for life grow. It's a wonderful part of the process to watch clients strengthen their intuition and recover from a painful relationship with food that so many people find themselves in.

Throughout my life, food has always been something to love and something to enjoy. From family parties to watching cooking shows to trying new restaurants - mealtimes were always cherished. As we grow older, the relationships we have with food and our bodies tend to become more complicated.
For me, being a dietitian means understanding how to nourish yourself in a way that feels good for you. I practice from a HAES ® framework and am a fat positive provider. This means I understand that nutrition is meant to be individualized and there is no one right (or wrong) way to eat- just like there is no one right or wrong way to have a body. The best part of my career is being able to help people build a peaceful relationship with food and their bodies!

My favorite part is being able to truly have open conversations about food and our overall well-being. When food no longer holds moral value, it becomes possible to have a more enjoyable outlook on food!
